It was Aris' 25th birthday and she had a case of the birthday blues, missing her friends and was thinking it was strange that David hadn't made any plans (very out of character for him). We had a lazy morning where we got to sleep in and David made Aris her favorite breakfast, goat cheese, lox and caper omelet with David's famous Bloody Mary, YUM! As the day continued to creep away from them David continued to stall. Around mid afternoon David receives a phone call, comes back to the living room and tells Aris he has a call back at 4pm from the audition he was on the day before. Aris, while very supportive of a call back, can't stop the tears that are starting to form because she is being left at home on her birthday. While David was out for his unusually long "call back" Aris receives a package she had been waiting for, the new sheets she had ordered for her birthday. David finally returns and Aris' spirits are lifted by the super delicious new sheets she had been waiting for and David's return. David comes in to the apartment, places his bag in the middle of the floor and is insistent that Aris stand up and dance. She resists, insisting that David "MUST feel the new sheets." After a few times back and forth Aris agrees to dance with David. He turns on their song and they begin to dance. After a re-assuring "I love you" David gets down on one knee and says "will you marry me?" Aris says "are you sure?" David says "yes!" Aris says "yes!" and here they are getting ready for the big wedding day and looking forward to the happily ever after.
* David didn't go on a call back that day, there had been a problem with a machine at the jewelers and the ring that was supposed to be ready on Friday wasn't ready until Monday. David had to go pick it up.
